High School Programs


The High School has a comprehensive core curriculum, consistent with State and local graduation expectations. Elective courses include second languages, Art, research, Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, Business, Computers, and Instrumental and Vocal Music. Career exploration and Occupational Education utilize work study, job shadowing, mentoring and vocational training at the nearby Questar III Educational Center. The High School also provides:


  • Shakespeare & Company, thanks to Friends of Shakespeare
  • Model UN, chapter organized by Darby Mills
  • SADD: Students Against Destructive Decisions, chapter organized by Darby Mills and Stacey Sabini
  • The Drama Club produced Pippin in April 2005, directed by Mike Robbins.
  • a new career enter with a work-study coordinator
  • two School Counselors offering academic, career and personal counseling services
  • advanced placement (AP) courses in partnership with the local community college
  • modern state-of-the-art library media center
  • multimedia computer labs with elective computer science courses utilizing new languages and software
  • university-based "Foundations of Research" course
  • extensive and varied athletic programs
  • full range of large to small choral and instrumental music ensembles
  • "Student of the Month" recognition award with Philmont Rotary Club
