Taconic Hills Pickup & Drop Off Procedures

Please help us to ensure a safe and smooth arrival/dismissal each day by following the drop off and pick up procedures outlined on this page.

  • Students who ride the bus will enter through the PAC entrances. Students who drive to school or are dropped off will enter through the Main Entrance of the Elementary or Jr/Sr High School.

  • Students should report directly to their Homeroom/Period 1 class after entering the building.

STUDENT DROP OFF

Student drop off begins at 7:50AM

Parents should follow the diagram below for morning drop-off.

All cars must use the designated drop off line. No vehicles will be allowed to park in the staff parking lot during morning drop-off. To help with the transition, staff members in safety vests will be stationed in the area to assist your children and guide them safely to the school entrance. If you do decide to walk your child into the school entrance, you will need to park in one of the designated spots within the drop-off area.

A Few Key Reminders:

  • Use the Drop-Off Line: This ensures a smoother flow of traffic and minimizes the risk of accidents.

  • Avoid Double Parking: It creates dangerous situations for pedestrians and other vehicles.

  • Stay Alert and Patient: Follow staff directions and maintain a safe speed while on school property.

STUDENT DISMISSAL & EARLY PICKUP

Student pickup begins at 2:30PM in the Elementary School and 2:35 at High School

If you arrive before 2:30PM for the Elementary School, please park in the overflow lot across the street from the bus garage. Due to safety concerns on campus, we ask that cars not line up in the overflow lot before 2PM. Cars cannot be in the pickup lane, prior to 2:30PM for the safety of our students.

When you pull up in your vehicle, tell a staff member who your child is & sign for them in order to pick them up. If you are a regular pick-up, please display your pick up tag on your rearview mirror to ensure easier pickup. Students can only travel with someone who is authorized to pick them up. Please remember to update your contact information with the school office whenever there is a change.
