In a recent communication, we informed you that the District would remain open on Monday, April 8th. However, in response to concerns raised by our families and staff, we have decided to adjust our plans for the day. Students will now be dismissed 1 hour early at 1:35 PM, ensuring their safe return home before the total solar eclipse. Students will be provided with safety glasses, so they can participate in the event from the comfort of their homes if they choose. Students will follow their regular dismissal plans.
Additionally, our home tennis match will begin at 5:15 PM. We kindly request that athletes arrive no earlier than 4:30 PM. Please note that all athletic practices for the day have been canceled.
Other Items:
All other after school events & activities are canceled, including Before & After School Program.
There will be no 4PM late bus.
The Aquatic & Fitness Center will be open from 5:30PM-8PM.
The Swim Stroke Clinic will remain as scheduled.
Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated. We recognize that this decision may pose an inconvenience for some families. Please note that this decision was made with the utmost priority being the safety of our students while also maximizing our instructional time on the first day back after the spring recess. We also want to ensure that students have the chance to experience this incredible event. Thank you for your continued support.
